Panasonic GX1 on Amazon
The GX1 is back in stock on Amazon. As of this post they have 13 from the black available and 13 from the silver ones. They also have the GX1 with the regular 14-42mm zoom lens (very little quantities as well). The GX1 with the new X series lens is sadly still not shipping. [Link]

why are you such a huge fan of this camera ? whats so special about it ?
I had the GF1 and it’s one of my favorite cameras ever and this is supposedly the same in every way except better.
Well its a nice camera ! but have you considered other cameras like it ?! like the
Fujifilm X10, its even cheaper than GX1 and it looks Classy

The GX1 is in a completely different league and category. The X10 is a point and shoot with a tiny sensor and fixed lens.
I would still pick this over the NEX, Canon S100/G series. Fantastic camera. Tried it when I was in Hong Kong.
It’s not a point and shoot so u can’t compare to the s100 or g series. Comparing to nex5n and nex7 makes more sense.
Do you have any tips on moving objects with this camera? My sister just got it last week and she’s not so tech savy. Thanks
What issues is she having? If the objects are blurred then maybe she needs to increase shutter speed. If the objects are out of focus then she might have to put the focus on manual.
I will try again to coach her thru it! She gets frustrated easily. I told she needs to just take take take the pics with the different settings and increase the shutter sped, like you had said.
