Hey boca, Not atm. Was training Jiu Jitsu for a month when I got injured. Flying outside to get treated then I’ll be back with training full time. You still training at the same place?
I don’t go there anymore that place isn’t for me, the fights here aren’t organized well, and I train to fight, I don’t care what color belt I get, not knocking belts, but I want fight experience, and want to use Muay Thai. I wasn’t getting that there, and that’s the only reason I started going was to fight here in Kuwait to get more fights before the camp in thailand.
I train where I work now, lots of legit dudes who fight amateur in japan and the states. I have been doing fight nights too, it’s standard boxing, but good experience. I do Muay Thai mostly, but one guy I train with has been showing me Jiu Jitsu a couple of days a week, shit is crazy in a good way.
When you get better, let’s spar and put in some work, I live right down the street from the gym you went to before for kickboxing, there is a gym with a decent area we can do pad work.
Tht sounds great! PM me your details so I can get back to you once Im back. And for Jiu Jitsu, you should try coming to Sidekick Academy. Its a really legit place to learn grappling and you only get better with every class. The students and the coaches are very helpful and it really changed my ground game in 1 month until I got injured. In case you have doubts, you can try out a class for free. I’d suggest you come on Tuesday at 7pm for the No-Gi class. You’ll definitely love it there.
I agree. In the states or europe you could go into a gym say you want to fight, and once they are confident you won’t get destroyed you WILL fight no problem. Here everything is so complicated, so I am just training before I attend a Muay Thai camp in Thailand to get at least 2 amateur fights.
I train with some people I work with, most of them fight amateur mma where they live japan and the states. I am down to train with anybody at my place or another place. I have all equipment for running pad work/sparring. I have a goal set and am just trying to achieve it, so any experience gained is great.
Sidekick is good for grappling. We should appreciate the effort of someone putting in their time and money to make MMA notice here in Kuwait on a large scale.
@nahin123…sidekick knows NOTHING about grappling. ZERO! they are a bjj school. nothing else. i do appreciate the growth of this sport and anybody in it but lets keep things for real, ok?
Are you going to GFC 2 or the Cage Fighters here in Kuwait?
Question is, will Jones destroy him quickly or will Jones destroy him slowly?
either way, Sonnen will talk mad shit, TUF is pretty decent so far with them as coaches.
Nahin, have you been back to kickboxing?
